As a TechEd Alumni and Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP), sometimes interesting opportunities cross your path. When the opportunity presented itself to staff at Microsoft TechEd North America 2012, I didn’t need to think twice.

Upcoming Speaking Engagements (March & April 2012)
This year is going to be an interesting year. Microsoft is readying it’s new client and server Operating Systems (OSs) with interesting features from my point of view and interests. Also, Apple recently released the ‘New iPad’.
My interview with Paula Januszkiewicz (TechDays 2012)
I’m a Directory Services MVP. Have been for the last three years, too. This expertise is part of the Identity and Access area together with the ForeFront, ForeFront Identity Manager (FIM) and Enterprise Security MVPs. These latter guys and girl are really great. One of my favorite Enterprise Security MVPs is Paula Januszkiewicz. I’ve had … Continue reading "My interview with Paula Januszkiewicz (TechDays 2012)"
Host-Based Backup and Restore of Virtual Domain Controllers Whitepaper
I’ve seen a couple of vendors release backup products, specifically targeted at Hyper-V. Some solutions utilize the Hyper-V Volume Shadow Service (VSS) writer to make backups. The big question, however, is whether this type of backup is of any use to backup Domain Controllers for disaster recovery. Over the years, we’ve seen a lot of … Continue reading "Host-Based Backup and Restore of Virtual Domain Controllers Whitepaper"
Upcoming Speaking Engagements
So far May hasn’t much of a speaking month for me. It allowed me to regain some peace and quiet and allowed me to rethink the messages, appearance and jokes in some of the sessions I delivered earlier this year. Also, I’ve been ramping up two nice speaking sessions in the next two weeks, that … Continue reading "Upcoming Speaking Engagements"
Speaking engagements for April
While March 2011 was an exhilarating month with some fun speaking engagements, April 2011 is also shaping up to become a month where I won’t be visiting customers much. Since it seems Microsoft is not planning to (pre)-release any big platform products this month, I think it’s not going to be a big problem to … Continue reading "Speaking engagements for April"
Speaking engagements for March
Sometimes I’m glad I’m not making my money speaking. The last few weeks were absent with public speaking engagements, but March 2011 seems poised to change all that! (at least for a month) I’m invited to speak at a Microsoft event for owners of businesses with less than 250 seats, a Dutch Career event … Continue reading "Speaking engagements for March"

Interviewed at Tech·Ed Europe for TechNet
While I was at Tech·Ed Europe, last month, I ran into Philip Weitnauer, who was shooting interviews for TechNet Edge. He asked me a couple of questions on TechNet, namely the TechNet Forums, TechNet TechCenters, TechNet Edge and the TechNet Wiki. Philip posted the (edited) video on TechNet Edge, earlier this week. Sander Berkouwer–TechNet Edge, … Continue reading "Interviewed at Tech·Ed Europe for TechNet"
