Half November, I visited Zagreb for Microsoft Croatia’s Advanced Technology Days (ATD) 12 event to present a a 30-minute level 300 session on the security implications of virtualizing Active Directory Domain Controllers on Hyper-V, Azure Stack and Azure Infrastructure-as-a-Service.
After a days work, I drove to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, where I had a scheduled direct KLM flight to Zagreb Pleso Airport.
After I landed, a scheduled cab brought me to Hypo Centar, where I checked into the apartment and then had coffee with Romeo Mlinar and Ljubo Brodaric at the event venue, across the road.
Still jetlagged from the Microsoft MVP Summit and having my presention finished on the plane, I hit the bed pretty early.
Lucky I did, because the next time I looked at my watch, it read 10:20…
With a presentation scheduled for 10:55, I needed to hurry. I hit the shower and got dressed quickly to head over to the venue.
I registered, and one of the girls at the registration desk walked me to room Rab, where the previous session was still going on. “At least I’m on time!” On schedule, the session ended, and I prepared for my session.
Apparently, my 30-minute session was the most visited session of the day, with over 200 attendees, according to one of the many Croatian bloggers, covering the event.
After my presentation, I had lunch with my fellow MVPs and other speakers, then I headed back to the apartment to check out, because I had a 5 ’o clock KLM flight back to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and a scheduled cab to bring me to Zagreb Pleso Airport first.
It was a fantastic event, that really resonated with the positive vibes towards the cloud, that I can clearly feel increasing in the region.
Thank you!
