I mentor Tomislav Fučkar. We decided that it would be good to present together. As an additional benefit it means that we get to spend time together to address the many technological challenges we face when it comes to Identity. That's why, we proposed sessions for Kulendayz, organized from September 4th to September 6th in Osijek, Croatia.
… and that's why, I planned another 10-hour travel plan to get from Dortmund in Germany (for the Cloud Identity Summit) to Osijek in the Eastern part of Croatia… via Amsterdam. It started with a 10-minute walk from the Adesso office in Dortmund, a couple of stops on the U-bahn, then an International train from Drortmund Hbf to the train station underneath Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, to a direct flight from Amsterdam to Zagreb's Franjo Tuđman Airport… and then a 2-hour drive through the night to get to the Didin Konak hotel in Bilje. Luckily, Tomislav is an excellent driver and we arrived without any problems.
The next morning, we woke up to Croatia's Slavonian country side to a beautifully sunny day, a nice breakfast and – of course – meeting several of the other speakers.
After breakfast, Tomislav drove to the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek (FAZOS), where hundreds of tech enthusiasts waited for the sessions of day 2, including our session 'Authentication Methods in Depth'.
Tomislav and I were scheduled to present from 10 AM to 11 AM on the fifth floor. We grabbed our badges and presented our session.

After lunch, Tomislav and I went for a coffee to have those in-depth conversations I mentioned earlier. After sessions ended, we explored Tvrđa, the historic fortress of Osijek, standing in the city’s heart, its stone walls carrying centuries of history in and even previous Kulendayz events.

The next day, we joined the Kulendayz team building at Drvena Bajka with Slavonian food and tamburica music. As you can imagine, there was typical food (my first kulen…) and typical drinks.

After the event, Tomislav and I drove back to Zagreb, where I took a flight to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport… while I was preparing for the flight in the airport loungs, I even came across a Microsoft Croatia legend…

Thank you
Thanks, Bernardin for inviting us over for an awesome KulenDayz! Of course, I'd also like to thank all the people that came to our session. Hope to see you all next year!
