Windows 10, join the cloud!

Wednesday September 16, 2015 1:15PM – 2:30PM

Windows 10 brings a huge change when it comes to joining the trusted environment. How does the virtualization of the join change the security paradigm that we got so used to over the past decade? What happens to single sign-on and management of the workplace? Where are the new boundaries of the virtualized territory? How did Windows 10 just change the landscape? You’ll be surprised by the new opportunities! Join this session to learn about the new features that Windows 10 and Windows Azure are bringing.

Microsoft Azure Active Directory for the Windows Server Active Directory Administrator

Wednesday September 16, 2015 3PM – 4:15PM
Co-hosted with Maarten Goet

Azure Active Directory is a web-based, Internet-scale identity and access management service hosted in Microsoft Azure data centers. Even though the name is similar, Azure AD is not just another instance of Windows Server Active Directory running on DCs in Azure data centers. It’s hybrid identity for a cloud-based world. Find out what design aspects to consider, how to integrate with your current AD on-premises, and how to get functions such as single sign-on and self-service password reset working. No Active Directory administrator should miss this demo-packed session.

Ask Me Anything About Licensing People-Centric IT

Friday September 17, 2015 10:15AM – 11:30AM

You’ve heard experts talk about implementing Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM), Consumerization of IT (CoIT), and/or People-Centric IT (PcIT). The common denominator with these acronyms is that colleagues work from the comfort of their own devices. The challenge for you is to make them productive. How do your current Microsoft licenses help you do that? Do you need additional licenses for these scenarios? If so, how do you purchase them? How do you convince your boss they’re necessary?
