About the Security Summit

If you want to learn about the latest and greatest security opportunities, from the fields of Microsoft, VMware and cybersecurity, this event is for you.

Agenda

You’re welcome starting at 3PM at iSense ICT Professionals, Zuidelijk Halfrond 11 in Gouda, the Netherlands. Get a drink, grab a seat and shake some hands.

At 3:30PM, Jeff Wouters starts off the event with a 55-minute session on how to implement and leverage Just in Time (JIT) and Just Enough Administration (JEA) to lower your attack surface. PowerShell guaranteed.

After a 10-minute break, Raymond Comvalius and I present another 55-minute session. We’ll discuss the new Shielded VMs feature in Windows Server 2016’s Hyper-V. This allows VM admins to be the owners of their VMs again and shut out any rogue virtualization admin or hoster.

Then, it’s time for dinner at 5:30 PM.

Attendees have the same time to digest food as they have to digest knowledge, as 55 minutes later, Remko Weijnen and Wouter Arts kick-off another 55 minutes on threat management and red team practices. Specific topics of interest are RDS & XenApp hijacking, Windows logons with cloned smartcards and EternalBlue infections.

At the same time Remko Weijnen and Wouter Arts are presenting, Adnan Hendricks gives 14 privileged persons a 55 minute hands-on with Azure’s Security Center. Bring Your Own Device to the max.

After another short 10-minute break, Joep Piscaer details Docker containers. It should not be a surprise that Joep feels containers are the pinnacle of security. Ten minutes after Joep, Jacco van Tuyl dives deep into ransomware like WannaCry and Not-Petya.

To catch their breaths, drinks will be served after the sessions, starting at around 9:45PM. This is the perfect time to have that informal chat with the speakers, admit you’ve been hacked or gain some more real-world tips to get the technology working optimally in your environment.
