Two events, 4.600 miles and six time zones apart, and 18 hours to get from one to the other.
It's not undoable, but when thunderstorms only allow the use of one runway for both arriving and departing flights at Miami International Airport (MIA), a fellow passenger decides to smoke in the toilet forcing the captain to turn back to the gate, and your flight arriving at one end of the biggest airport in the world and your next flight departing at the other end… it's tight.
Luckily, I had 21 minutes to spare when I walked into 1931 Congress Center in Den Bosch, the Netherlands, on Thursday May 25th after I snatched the last stand-by seat out of Atlanta after 4 hours of delay leaving VeeamON in sunny Miami.
